摘要：
攝影家透過攝影媒體將人或物賦型，不朽地活在人們的記憶中。紀實攝影的真是無可比擬的，它紀錄性的直截擷取，表達了真實而樸素的信念；也反應對環境的關懷、生命的尊重、以及對人性社會的追求。美濃菸業迄今逾一甲子，為當地最重要的經濟來源，源於菸作經濟下的所構成的「菸作文化」，結合傳統客家刻苦精神，形成了「菸城美濃」。
本研究以紀實攝影為理論基礎，進行攝影的實際創作，貫徹紀實攝影求真求實的精神，近距離接觸農民，體會身體力行的意義，於對象能有更深一層的認識，由一位拍攝者，融入為其中的參與者，記錄美濃菸田人家與土地共生依存關係。依表現主題分為三個系列作品：系列一《製菸過程》、系列二《菸樓》、系列三《菸農》，以此三面向對應美濃的產業、景觀、人文，延伸鏡頭下客家人對於菸草的特有情感與拚命精神，讓此傳統產業和其相關的記憶，在即將消逝之際，得以留下感動的一刻。
Via photographing media, photographers reform people and objects to be living in memories forever. Documentary photography is one of a kind. It directly captures and records true and plain faith. At the same time it reflects environmental care, respect to life, and aspire after society of humanity. The history of tobacco industry in Meinong Township is over sixty years and also the most important local econamic source. "Tobacco Work Culture", derived from the tobacco farm industry along with assiduous spirits of Hakka people, is transformed into "Meinong the Tobacco Town".
This research is to compose artworks based on documentary photography theories and carrying through the essence of truths and facts. By close contact with the farmers, I realize the true meaning of working in practice and understand deeper of the subject of study. As an photographer, I blended myself into them and portrayed symbiotic relationship between Meinong people and tobacco farmland. By manifestations there are three serials: "The Process of Tobacco Manufacturing", "The Towers of Fumigation", and "The Tobacco Farmers", sequentially referring to industries, landscape, and culture in Meinong to extend particular sensibility and brave spirits toward tobacco of Hakka people. Before this traditional industry and its memories are fade-out, the touching moments can be preserved.
