        本研究主要是調查新竹縣北埔鄉客家民族植物,並探討該地區客家族群與植物間的相關性。同時利用稀釋曲線、Shannon-Wiener多樣性指數、均勻度指數及共識因素四種分析方法,查明北埔鄉客家民族植物的運用情形。調查結果顯示65位報導者提及北埔鄉客家民族植物共80科173屬205種植物。205種植物使用可區分為食用、藥用、建築材料、工藝、清潔、禮俗、童玩、經濟、其他等9個類目。依植物用途類目排名,以藥用植物登錄的使用記錄數量最多有1434筆。依植物科別排名,禾本科為最多報導者談及。植物使用部位以葉子使用最多有84種。在使用類目中,以稻應用於7種類目最多。在登錄筆數的最大機率值中,以金劍草的登錄筆數最高值為52。資料分析方面,65位報導者的稀釋曲線已趨於平穩,顯示能完整分析北埔鄉客家族群在植物使用的狀況。Shannon值為H=2.18。共識因素分析的結果為禮俗、食用、藥用與清潔類目的FIC為0.90以上,表示此地居民對於使用的植物在這4類目共識較具一致性。本文記錄203種客家語語彙,有8種植物具有2種客家語語彙。
        The aims of this study are to investigate the Hakka ethnobotany plants of Beipu Township in Hsinchu County and to explore the relationship between Hakka people and plants in this area. The rarefaction curves, Shannon-Wiener index, evenness index and informant consensus factor are employed to find out the plant use knowledge of Beipu hakka township. The results showed that 65 interviewed informants mentioned 205 species including 173 genera and 80 families. All the plants were classified into nine types of usages, such as foods, medicines, building materials, ceremonial, clean, craft, toy, economy and others. Depending on the ranks of plant usages there are 1434 citatons in medicine. According to the family ranks of plants, Poaceae was the most from the informants mentioned. The leaves of 84 species are the major parts of usages. Among the 205 kinds of plants, seven usage categories are Oryza sativa. Rubia lanceolata with nine citations have great probability values. The rarefaction curves of 65 informants have already become more and more steady, showing that this interview numbers are enough to analyze plant uses in Beipu. The Shannon-Wiener index is 2.18. The informant consensus values for ceremonial, food, medicine and clean categories are more than 0.9, showing the residents of this area are in consistence with these four kinds of categories. There are 203 species with the Hakka language vocabularies, of which eight plants have two kinds of Hakka language vocabularies.
